Museum Volunteers

Volunteers are frequently needed for data entry and other office duties, accessioning items in the collection, the museum store, exhibit design and installation, special events, and organizing the annual silent auction and other fundraisers. There are also some opportunities for school suggested and court ordered community service work.

Internships

A wide variety of non-paid internship opportunities are available. These position requires a recommendation from a high school or college faculty member. Opportunities are also available as research assistants, educational outreach presenters, oral history collectors and transcribers, and computer graphic/video designers, etc.

Reunion Event Volunteers

Museum activities at the Panama Canal Society Reunions provide opportunities for volunteers to staff information booths and the museum store and to assist with packing, setting up and taking down displays.
